August 4, 2020 State Primary Election
The next election will be a State Primary. 
This is a primary election- in the partisan section of the ballot, voters may vote in ONE PARTY SECTION ONLY; YOU CANNOT “SPLIT YOUR TICKET.” If you vote in more than one party section, your partisan ballot will be rejected.

NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2020
OAK PARK, MICHIGAN 
TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF OAK PARK: 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Oak Park who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the City Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the City Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com. 

The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, July 20, 2020 

After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at the Oak Park City Clerk’s office, located at 14000 Oak Park Blvd, Oak Park, MI 48237 at the following times:

  • Regular business hours: Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Election Day, Tuesday, August 4 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that voters of City of Oak Park will be voting for the purpose of nominating candidates for the following offices:

United States Senator, Representative in Congress 14th District, Representative in State Legislature 27th District, County Executive, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk/ Register of Deeds, Treasurer, Water Resources Commissioner, County Commissioner 17th District;

Electing delegates to county convention of the Republican, Democratic, and Libertarian parties; 

Voting on the following local proposals:

Ballot Proposal No. 20-01- Renewal of Partial Headlee Override Millage for Public Safety Purposes

Ballot Proposal No. 20-02- Renewal of Library Millage

Ballot Proposal No. 20-03- Renewal of Partial Headlee Override Millage for Recreation Purposes 

Full text of the ballot proposals may be obtained at the Oak Park City Clerk’s office, 14000 Oak Park Blvd, Oak Park, MI 48237, telephone: 248-691-7544. A sample ballot may be viewed at mi.gov/vote. 

Persons with special needs as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact the Clerk’s office.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there will be a public accuracy test on the following date and time for the purpose of testing the accuracy of the tabulating equipment and programs which will be used to tabulate voted ballots for the Primary Election in the City of Oak Park to be held on August 4, 2020. 

The Public Accuracy Test will be held at:
