Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult and under adult supervision at all times - in and out of water.
Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible guardian over the age of 18.
City of Oak Park reserves the right to close the pool due to inclement weather or other circumstances.

The Oak Park Pool Officially Opens for the Summer During Regularly Scheduled Hours on Saturday, June 15*, from 1 to 6 p.m.

Public Open Swim

Monday, 2 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, 2 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, 2 to 7 p.m.
Thursday, 2 to 7 p.m.
Friday, 1 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m.

Oak Park Pool Offers Women-Only and Men-Only Swim

Again this summer, the Oak Park Pool will be hosting separate female-only and male-only swim hours. For any number of reasons including faith or personal preference, some women and girls may prefer to swim without being in the presence of men. And, vice versa, men and boys may prefer to swim without being in the presence of females. The Oak Park Recreation Department is accommodating these preferences by offer separate swim hours on certain days.

Female lifeguards will be assigned during female-only swim.
Monday and Wednesday, 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Sundays, 10:30 a.m. to Noon

Male-Only Swim
Male lifeguards will be assigned during male-only swim.
Tuesday and Thursdays, 7:30 to 9 p.m.

*The pool is open to the general public. Resident rates apply to residents of Oak Park, Ferndale and Hazel Park, cities that partner with Oak Park on several Recreation program activities.

Please note, we ONLY ACCEPT CASH for pool fees or season passes at the Oak Park Pool entrance. However, you can pay by check or by credit/debit card at the Oak Park Recreation Office during regular business hours.

Come celebrate the unofficial end of summer with the last day the pool will be open to the public. Help us shut the pool down in style on this very special day.

$10 per dog pre-registration. $15 per dog for day-of registration.

Dogs deserve a day at the park, too! Enroll your dog for an end-of-the-season 55-minute session. Each registered dog receives a gift. Must have proof of current vaccinations and a dog license before entry is allowed. For the safety and enjoyment of the dogs, we offer separate swim times for various size dogs. They are:

  • Small Sized Dogs (Under 30 lbs.), Noon to 12:55 p.m.
  • Medium Sized Dogs (30-69 lbs.), 1 to 1:55 p.m.
  • Large Sized Dogs (70 lbs. and Up), 2 to 2:55 p.m. 

Pool Rental is Available

If you have a private party ­– birthday party, wedding shower, bridal shower, or family reunion - and are looking for a unique venue, consider renting the Oak Park Pool. It’s sure to be a welcome splash! For more information on pool rentals and to make your reservations, call the Recreation Department at (248) 691-7555.

Additional party hours, if available, are $160 per hour.

A $75.00 deposit is required on all pool rentals.
All pool rentals MUST be paid in full on the booking date to reserve the date and time.

Swimming Lessons

Learn to Swim

Sessions: Six 50-minute sessions
Fee:  $48 for Resident/$53 for Non-Resident

Water Aerobics

Must be at least 18-years-old | Cost: $2 Resident/$3 Non-Resident

This fun and energetic class is geared towards improving your overallhealth and well-being. Water aerobics uses all aspects of a typical aero-bics class but with the added health benefits of using water as a naturalform of resistance, creating an excellent full-body workout with greatheart benefits and endurance development.
