The Oak Park Public Safety Department is now enrolling citizen's of Oak Park into our October Citizen Academy.  This is a four-week course held on all four Wednesdays in October at 6 to 9 p.m. Classes will include fun, informative and interactive involvement while learning patrol and traffic operations, police equipment and firearms, law and criminal procedures, use of force and officer/public safety, crime scene investigations, forensics, firefighting, firetruck operations, medical first-response, radio dispatch and 9-1-1 operations.  For more information, call Detective Koch at (248) 691-7514 or obtain an application at the Public Safety Department at 13800 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park, Michigan.
