Automatic Bill Payment (ACH)

This is a FREE service that eliminates the need for you to write out a check each time a utility bill is due and saves the cost of postage for mailing your check to the city. Your payment is always made on time, so there are no worries about late payments or late fees, even if you are on vacation.
To enroll for this free service, simply complete the lower portion of the ACH Automatic Payment Form, print, and return it along with a voided check (Checking/Saving) to:

Please keep in mind this could take up to one billing period for the automatic bill payment to be activated. Once activated, the utility bill will indicate “ACH- Do Not Pay” in the amount due box.
The City of Oak Park offers a variety of payment options for utility bills, making the process as easy as possible. Any payment by credit/debit card will incur a processing fee from ACI payments, the credit/debit card processor. The City of Oak Park does not receive any portion of these fees.
Pay Online
The City is partnered with BS&A and ACI Payments to provide you easy, fast and secure options to pay your utility bill. Payment of utility bills can be made ONLINE 24 hours a day 7 days a week (Credit/Debit Cards). This will include a fee from the Credit/Debit card processor, ACI Payments.

Mail Payment
Please detach the top portion of the utility bill and return it with your payment to ensure accurate processing (Check/Money Order). Make sure to include your account number on the payment

Pay by Drop Box
The City has two drop boxes located outside of City Hall that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (Check/Money Order). One is a walk-up drop box located near the entrance of City Hall and the other is a drive-thru drop box located directly across. Drop box payments are collected at 8 a.m. the next business day (NO CASH payments in either drop box).
Pay in Person at City Hall
Payment can be made at the utility billing division located at 14000 Oak Park Blvd, Oak Park MI, 48237 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and every other Friday 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. (except holidays).
Payment methods include cash, money order, check, or debit/credit card (Mastercard and Discover). Visa is not accepted for in-person payments, per VISA’s policy. When paying in person, please bring the top portion of your utility bill for faster service.
Pay by Phone
Our pay-by-phone option is provided by ACI Payments. Please have your account number or address ready and call toll-free at 1-800-487-4567 to make a payment. Press option # 1 for English and # 4 for utilities. (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover).
