Patronicity Campaign March 2021

The Nine Mile Redesign project implementation began back in 2015 with the goal of redeveloping Nine Mile Road. We gathered public input to help reimagine the corridor and make it more attractive to residents, businesses, and investors. The first phase included a road diet, bike lanes, two pocket parks, and much more. These improvements have begun the transformation of the Nine Mile corridor into a vibrant and welcoming environment that will benefit our whole community for generations to come.

The second phase of the redevelopment of Nine Mile includes the completion of the Linear Park with exciting new amenities for people of all ages and abilities. Where there currently is a drab stretch of grass and concrete on the south side of Nine Mile between Scotia and Rosewood, we plan to transform it into a new linear park. With your support, we can complete the park with:

  • Lighting
  • Benches
  • Play Structures
  • Public Art Pieces
Through this Patronicity campaignwe hope to raise $50,000 for the advancement of our shared vision for Nine Mile. What’s more, this campaign is supported by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) through their “Public Spaces, Community Places” initiative. That means that for every dollar we raise, the MEDC will match it up to $50,000. In other words, if we raise $50,000 through this campaign, that money will double to $100,000!
